Long answer types question:
Q .1) Describe the life and behavior of crocodile in the chobe water (river) in South Africa.
Ans.) ‘On An African River’ is a very great essay by David Livingston.
The writer expresses about the river chobe has two big animals hippos and crocodiles, but crocodiles are more dangerous than hippos. The number of crocodiles is very great in this river. They are more dangerous than the crocodiles in other river.
Many children when they go down for water, are carried off  by the crocodiles. The crocodiles of the river are so very dangerous because seldom they carry off calves and cow also. The crocodiles attack their prey with their tails, then they pull him in and drawn him. When the crocodiles are watching for prey they can not be seen because at that time they lie in the water.
The chief food of crocodile is fish either large or small. The crocodiles have broad and scaly tails and with the help of their tails they catch fish. When a crocodile sees a man on the other bank of the river, he runs at once at a very high speed at the bottom of the river, so his body is not seen on the surface.
One more interesting fact about crocodiles is that when they eat their prey, they make a very loud chewing sound which can’t be forgotten if once heard.
