Q .1) What qualities did God give to horse and how could man make a slave of the horse?
Ans.) ‘The Horse’ by R. N. Tagore was fine short story. It teaches us that ‘ the greatness of man’s heart lies in accepting the burdens of life.’
The story is satire o the cleverness of man.
One day God created horse with many good qualities. It  was freedom ,loving ,swift , powerful ,harmless ,and faithful. It was very loving to the creator.
On the other hand ,there was man who bent under his own burden. After seeing the horse he made up his mind to swift his burden on to back of the horse. So one day he set his nets and captured the horse. He puts a saddle on its back and a crub in its mouth . after this the horse was kept in stable.
It was a very painful life for the horse . in order to show its anger the horse kicked the walls of stable. The kicking damaged  its own legs more than the plaster of the walls.
It made man angry.  he called the horse an ungrateful animal .now he used some hard methods to control the horse.
Finally the horse had to be obedient and faithful to man. It was afraid of whip and only neighed before man.
Thus we have seen that the horse proved to be a very useful animal for man’s life. He got rid of the burdens of his life.

Reference: These lines have been taken from the lesson “The horse” written by Rabindra Nath Tagore.
Context: In this passage the writer says that one day God  thought  to create a different animal that is horse for race but man began to use it for his own burden. God thinks that his creation of horse is blunder. But the writer says that the creation of the horse is a wonderful creation of the God.
Explanation: In making the horse the crater used largely softer stuff and a very little harder stuff. He used the stuff of which air and sky are  made of. The characteristic of air is the desire to get freedom and the characteristic of sky is to reach the highest point. Thus, the horse always want to run a race at the speed of wind and to touch the meeting point of the sky and the earth. The horse is always ready to run. In doing so he has no clear aim but he does it out of his constant desire. Thus horse is a wonderful creation of god.
