*कहानी:*
डॉक्टर एंड्रयू मैनसन नया डॉक्टर है, वेल्स के छोटे शहर ब्लेनली में प्रैक्टिस करता है। रात में 12 बजे उसके पास केस आता है - जो मॉर्गन का परिवार, उसकी पत्नी बच्चे को जन्म देने वाली है, बहुत मुश्किल केस।
डॉक्टर जो मॉर्गन के घर जाता है, देखता है पत्नी बहुत दर्द में है, नर्स मदद कर रही है। बच्चा पैदा होता है, पर माँ बेहोश हो जाती है, माँ की हालत खराब। डॉक्टर माँ को बचाता है, इंजेक्शन देता है, माँ ठीक होती है।
फिर देखता है बच्चा - बच्चा मरा हुआ लगता है, साँस नहीं ले रहा, सफेद, ठंडा। सब सोचते हैं बच्चा मर गया। पर डॉक्टर हार नहीं मानता, वह बच्चे को गर्म पानी, ठंडा पानी में डालता है, मालिश करता है, कोशिश करता है।
बहुत देर तक कोशिश, आखिर में बच्चा रोता है, साँस लेता है, जीवित हो जाता है। सब खुश - माँ, परिवार, नर्स। डॉक्टर बहुत खुश, उसे लगता है उसने चमत्कार किया, भगवान जैसा काम।
वह बाहर जाता है, रात, सोचता है भगवान ने उसे यह काम दिया। कहानी सिखाती है कि डॉक्टर का काम महान, कभी हार मत मानो, कोशिश से मरा बच्चा भी जीवित हो सकता है।
