कवि बारिश से पूछता है - तुम कौन हो?
बारिश जवाब देती है - मैं धरती की कविता हूँ, मैं आसमान से आती हूँ।
बारिश कहती है - मैं समुद्र से उठती हूँ, भाप बनकर ऊपर जाती हूँ, बादल बनती हूँ, फिर नीचे गिरती हूँ, धरती पर।
मैं धरती को पानी देती हूँ, पेड़-पौधों को जीवन देती हूँ, सूखी धरती को हरा करती हूँ। फिर वापस समुद्र में चली जाती हूँ, फिर से ऊपर।
यह चक्र चलता रहता है - समुद्र से बादल, बादल से बारिश, बारिश से धरती, धरती से समुद्र।
फिर कवि कहता है - बारिश और गाने में समानता है, जैसे बारिश धरती को जीवन देती है और वापस जाती है, वैसे ही गाना दिल से निकलता है, लोगों को खुशी देता है, फिर दिल में वापस आता है।
कविता सिखाती है कि बारिश प्रकृति का चक्र है, जीवन देती है, गाने जैसी पवित्र है।
