Subject: Alarming Increase in Rash Driving

Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw the attention of the traffic authorities towards the increasing cases of rash driving in Lucknow.

Nowadays, especially the youth ride their bikes and cars at very high speed. They do not wear helmets, they jump red lights and do dangerous stunts on busy roads. Due to this, road accidents are increasing day by day and many innocent lives are lost.

I would request the traffic police to take strict action. Regular checking, heavy fines and installation of CCTV cameras on main crossings can solve this problem to a great extent. I hope you will give space to my views in your newspaper.

Yours faithfully
Rohan Verma

Ans:
Subject: Need for Complete Ban on Polythene Bags
Sir, Through your esteemed daily, I want to highlight the serious threat caused by polythene bags. These bags block our drains and cause waterlogging during rains. Stray animals eat them and die. They are non-biodegradable and pollute our soil for hundreds of years. Shopkeepers still use them freely. I request the government to impose a strict ban and people should be encouraged to use cloth and jute bags. Awareness campaigns should be run in schools and colonies.

Yours faithfully

Subject: Growing Drug Addiction Among the Youth
Sir, Through your newspaper, I want to express my deep concern over increasing drug addiction among youth. Due to peer pressure, academic stress and easy availability of drugs, many students are falling into this trap. It destroys their health, career and family life. The police should take strict action against drug peddlers near schools. Schools should organize counselling sessions and promote sports and yoga to keep students away from drugs. Parents should also monitor their children.

Yours faithfully
Amit
